City Construction Updates

Downtown Loop Streetscape

We have an upcoming closure of Creek Road between Main & Reading. This portion of Creek Road is likely to have construction work begin in January with traffic mostly maintained with flaggers to start. The construction schedule has it closing completely in February and re-opening early May. The detour will be north/south around the loop.

Federal funding has been awarded for the next phase of the Downtown Loop Streetscape to focus on Reading Road. Construction should begin on this portion in 2025. This phase will incorporate pedestrian and road improvements to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety while enhancing the local business environment.

Flood Mitigation Construction

The stretch of Main from Grandview to Sharon Road will be closed to through traffic until approximately mid-December 2023. This is part of the FEMA grant the City received to replace the existing deteriorated culvert with a new bridge where Main St. meets Sharon Rd. The detour for this closure will be north/south US 42 to Glendale Milford to Wyscarver. Improvements to the dam will be made as well to help slow the flow of water. This project will help keep the 100 year flood event out of our downtown.

Hauck Road

Project is awaiting utility work to be completed by utility companies. Final paving is estimated to be completed in Spring of 2023. Railroad work will still need to be completed sometime in 2023 as well.

I-75 Thru the Valley (not a City of Sharonville project)
