The project consists of two sites along a tributary to Sharon Creek, a 0.18- acre site at the Sharonville Detention Reservoir (36.26747, -84.39871) and a 0.73-acre site at the Intersection of Main Street and U.S. 42 (East Sharon Road/Reading Road) In Sharonville (36.26845, -84.41212).
The project involves replacing the existing twin box culverts with an open channel and realign Main Street to perpendicular to US-42 with a bridge. In addition to the culvert replacement, 400 linear feet of stream restoration, riparian area, and green open space would be added as part of the project. The existing emergency spillway control weir at the Sharonville Retention Dam will be replaced with a concrete labyrinth weir and new base slab.
