The City of Sharonville’s Energy Aggregation Programs
NATURAL GAS AGGREGATION PROGRAM July 2022 – June 2023
The City has secured through its aggregation consultant, The Utilities Group, a one-year term with IGS Energy Services to supply its natural gas aggregation program. The program will conclude in June 2023. Currently, the price is variable, but we will look to lock in a fixed price for the coming winter months when the gas market is more favorable. From July – Sep, the City’s variable gas price ranged from 5.2-14.2% below Duke’s. Initial Opt-out letters for this program were mailed to residents in May 2022.
If you are not already a program participant, but want to join, call IGS Energy directly at 1-877-353-0162 or The Utilities Group at 513-481-7954 and request to enter the City of Sharonville’s gas aggregation program. Have a copy of your Duke utility bill handy for required information. Also, if you are already being supplied by a non-Duke Energy vendor, contact them first to be sure you will incur no penalty or cancellation fees if you leave their supply.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: A second round of Opt-out letters for the current gas program was mailed in early August 2022 to residents inadvertently omitted by Duke utility on its “Eligibility List” required by and provided to IGS Energy. Program terms and pricing are the same whether you received the first round or second round letter. As a reminder, if a resident wishes to remain in or join the City’s aggregation program, you do not need to do anything with the Opt-out letter you receive - you will automatically flow into the program if you do nothing.
ELECTRIC AGGREGATION PROGRAM January 2021 - December 2023
The City’s current electric aggregation program with Energy Harbor will conclude in December 2023. The carbon-free fixed rate, secured through its aggregation consultant, The Utilities Group, is $0.0472/kWh, 25% below the current Duke Energy’s Price-to-Compare rate of $0.0631. The Opt-out letter for this program was sent to residents in the fall 2020. To join the program now, please contact Energy Harbor directly at 1-866-636-3749 or The Utilities Group at 513-481-7954 and request to enter the City of Sharonville’s electric aggregation program. Have a copy of your Duke utility bill handy for required information.
