  • The Civil Service Commission is the appellant body of the City of Sharonville classified positions. They meet the first Thursday of the month at noon and hear appeals regarding testing, screening, minimum qualifications, etc. You must submit your letter of appeal in writing to the Civil Service Commission, 10900 Reading Road, Sharonville, Ohio 45241.

  • The State Civil Service Law requires that candidates not meet their 37th birthday by the date of appointment for fire and the candidates must reach their 21st birthday by the date of appointment for police. At this time, we must follow the dictates of the state law.

  • There are approximately 160 full-time employees working for the city. An additional 250 employees are hired part time or seasonally to work in the departments.
